Return To Work Services

Return To Work Whilst some serious injuries require long and protracted, expensive medical treatment, over 82% of injuries recover with minimal intervention and expenses. EWS has developed a Return to Work Strategy focused on the provision of the best medical care aimed at keeping the worker at work, where possible, on alternative duties. The strong relationship formed over the years with established medical networks means that both the injured employee and the employer have a precise recovery map, with a specific diagnosis, a clear prognosis and definitive recovery timelines and treatment costs.

The greater the absence away from work, the higher the premium. For this reason, one of the most important building blocks of the EWS strategy is the creation of a modified duties manual and the identification of a local medical clinic willing to apply evidence-based clinical protocols. The alternative duties manual clearly depicts available “modified duties” for each particular injury, describes the medical restrictions and prescribes the physical transition stages required to return the workers to their pre-injury duties, as safely and as promptly as possible. As the graphs below shows, the longer the absence from work, the lower the probabilities of returning to work and the higher the costs of the annual premium.
